The story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is a well-known tale of hubris and karmic retribution. In the hands of early Renaissance painter Masaccio, Adam and Eve weep, covering themselves in ignominy and howling with despair.  In Villalongo’s telling, The Last Days of Eden play out somewhat differently.  Here the pair are no victims, making quick work of the serpent that naively thought an apple could tempt or satisfy their metaphorical hunger.
