Like other artists in this exhibition, Doron Langberg finds inspiration in his community, specifically his husband, lovers, and friends. They represent home and safe harbor for this artist whose life experiences and an identity grounded in being Jewish and Queer have taught him the gift of the present moment, whenever and wherever one is mindful enough to appreciate it, however mundane or ordinary. He is conscious of a sobering fact that is amplified in these uncertain times: that every social advance; every victory toward equity; indeed, everything can be taken away in an instant.
