In the words of the artist:

My ideas about color, form, materiality, composition, image, everything, come from interactions that I have and experiences that I have. There wouldn't be a reason to make [the work] if it wasn't for these connections. And I think the work is about a human connection, and eliciting empathy, and giving space for everyday moments to become meaningful. I feel like that's the origin. The origin is in those relationships.
