In many of Laing’s titles and media descriptions he makes references to time, labor, location, and names of others involved in either the production of the object or the idea.
Laing explains the importance of his titles:
Not only because it's important to me to note all of those things down ... I think conceptually for me it's important that it be understood that there's a lived experience to the making and the doing and the performing and the presenting of any given work. And also that it might appear very differently the next time.
